International round table on Animal Law issues

Today, MNU hosted an international round table on Animal Law, organized by the Animal Law Center of the Scientific School of Administrative and German Law within the framework of the project “Development of the Animal Law Doctrine in the Republic of Kazakhstan.”

During the event, important issues were discussed:

• Status of animals in the religion of Islam;

• Criminal-legal and administrative-legal protection of animals;

• Ensuring veterinary and sanitary safety;

• Use of animals for sporting and service purposes, and much more.

The participants came to unanimous conclusions:

• People must be responsible for the life and health of animals;

• The legal community, social activists and authorities must join forces to create high-quality and humane legal regulation in the field of wildlife;

• Existing regulations require serious revision.

The Scientific School of Administrative and German Law, the Animal Law Center expresses gratitude to all participants of the round table and invites them to further cooperation aimed at the development of Animal Law in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
